Hand Dipped Chocolate Creams

 

2 pounds powdered sugar 4x

¼ pound butter or oleo

1 can eagle brand condensed milk

A little salt

 

Mix above ingredients and shape around a drained and dried maraschino cherry, (you may want to butter your hands when you shape the dough around the cherry). Place on wax-covered cookie sheet and chill until firm.

 

Melt in a double boiler:

1 12-ounce bag of semi sweet chocolate chips

½ stick of paraffin wax.

 

Dip cherries by toothpick or small pickle fork into chocolate and place back on cookie sheet to harden.

You may have to cover the tops with chocolate using a spoon if they don’t completely cover when dipped.

 

You can also make this recipe with one of the flavors listed below just add the flavor to the powdered sugar, butter, and condensed milk without the maraschino cherry then dip in the chocolate.

Rum

Peppermint

Banana

Almond

Or any candied fruit flavor
